How does image compression work?

JPEG compression works by adjusting a quality parameter (1–100). Lower values discard more detail to achieve smaller files. SnapPass uses Sharp with MozJPEG encoding, which produces 15–20% smaller files than most browser-based tools at the same visual quality.

Is my image stored on your server?

Your compressed image is temporarily stored on Vercel Blob storage for up to 1 hour to allow download. It is automatically deleted after that. We never use your images for any other purpose.

Which format should I choose?
